HD Production 2001 - 2002

A Pioneer in HDTV Since 1995

2001 High Definition Production Schedule

March-December 2001 / "The City Walker" - Working with TVS on this 26 part international HDTV television series. This "reality" TV show takes the audience to some of the strangest and most interesting locations in New York, London, and Tokyo. Due to be completed by late September and will begin airing in Japan by late summer, this is sure to be an international hit.

May 2001 / "The Mickey Finn Show" - Another production with TVS located in Orlando, Florida. Almost 30 years ago this was a very popular musical variety show airing on NBC. Today we have recreated 13 episodes for PBS. We used 5 HDTV cameras and our production mobile in front of a live studio audience to create this fun, upbeat series. Air dates are YTD.

June 2001 / "Westcave" - Another new program created for the LCRA focusing on the unusual and diverse aspects of the Central Texas area. This area is rich in wildlife, flora, fauna, and history. This exhibit will open up to the public in late September of 2001. (Part 2 of a three part series)

June 2001 / "Canyon of the Eagles" - Another new program created for the LCRA focusing on the unusual and diverse aspects of the Central Texas area. This area is rich in wildlife, flora, fauna, and history. This exhibit will open up to the public in late September of 2001. (Part 3 of a three part series)

August 2001 / "Spirit of the River" - A 60 minute made for TV documentary based off of the beauty and diversity the make up Texas. This combines all three LCRA projects plus additional fascinating footage to make a breathtaking and educational documentary. Available for broadcast by early fall 2001.

2002 High Definition Production Schedule

December 2002 / "The Neighborhood Forest" - A pilot for an Home & Garden type series focusing on trees. This first episode deals with what can be done with a tree that must be removed from your property. Instead of firewood, mulch, or sending it to the landfill there are many different useful and creative possibilities for this resource. We will go to a local lumber mill, see a true artist craft fine furniture, and focus on a craftsman creating a fine musical instrument from locally lost trees.

November 2002 / "Pens to Parchment" - A new HDTV theater will open on December 3, 2002 at the old capital building in Baton Rouge, LA. This 12 minute show will take a historical look at one of America's most important moments in time. The Louisiana Purchase was one of the largest land acquisitions in American history and for 15 million dollars acquired almost 1/3 of the continental United States. This museum loop will run on a 30 ft. screen starting in December.

June 2002 / Short Demo Programs - We have had numerous requests for short themed demo material, put to music, especially designed for encoded use and experimentation footage for manufacturers. So we just completed editing on four new titles. "Best of Nature" - "Cityscapes" - "Corvette" - "Airshow." These programs are roughly 3 minutes each in length. Each and every shot has been hand-picked out of our extensive library and color corrected to jump off the screen. By far the best short form demonstration material we have created to date.

Jan.-December 2002 / "Airshow!" - One of our biggest broadcast projects of the year is a very exciting program that takes the viewer behind the scenes at the airshow. A unique and dangerous business, much more goes on than most people will ever know to put on the spectacular airshow events across the country. This hour long documentary is much more than a parade of pretty aircraft, it takes a close look at the human interest side of the business and pry's into the hearts and minds of those people who make it all possible. Filming began in October 2001 and we have captured some of the most breathtaking HDTV footage ever filmed. (Due to be released for broadcast in 2004.)

January 2002 / "Predictable Results" - Creating a real world applicable solution for one of our corporate clients. We shot and edited both a 12 minute marketing program, covering locations form New York to San Francisco and a 3 minute trade show program. The 12 minute piece won a Telly award and the 3 minute trade show piece pushed the envelope in HDTV graphic applications. Both the client and my editor Tim Werner were excited with the results of these two programs.
